Miss Sylvia - Owner/Dance Instructor

Miss Sylvia is extremely excited for this new opportunity in her life, to combine her education and her love of dance! Hence Starbound Dance Center was born!

Sylvia Ng’s love of dance began at the very young age of 3, at the University of Lethbridge, under Mary Falconer. She has pursued dance in several streams including recreationally and competitively at a studio; as well as being very involved in the Dance Program at her high school LCI.

Sylvia currently attends the University of Lethbridge pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Management, majoring in Human Resources and Labour Relations.  Her interest in the business administration world stemmed at a young age, being the grand-daughter of an Entrepreneur; which lead her to pursue a degree in Management. Combined with her love of dance, she ultimately decided to open a dance studio in her hometown, Starbound Dance Center!

Apart from dance, Sylvia enjoys volunteering at Chinook Regional Hospital in pediatrics, playing rugby, and working as a bartender.

In addition to dancing at a studio, she has taken Dance 9, 15/25 and performed in numerous dance productions with Lethbridge Collegiate Institute, under the direction of Betty Poulsen and Alisha Hornberger. While at LCI she had roles in 4 different shows including the works of Michael Jackson, The Beatles, and performed alongside a live band, Jason & The Diatonics.
