Miss Jordan

Miss Jordan has been immersed in dance since the young age of five. She is trained in multiple dance styles including: Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, and West African, although her absolute favourite styles are Tap, Jazz and Musical Theatre. 

Jordan danced at a local studio from the age of five till the age of 18 under the direction of, Joy Ackerman.  Miss Jordan was awarded the “Joy’s Combo Class Award” scholarship for Tap and the “Silk Plant Warehouse GO FOR IT! Modern Award” scholarship for Modern Dance excellence.

Throughout highschool, Jordan also danced at LCI under Betty Poulsen. She took Dance 15/25, and 30. During her dancing carrer at LCI, she danced in six shows. Then was asked to come back and perform as an alumni. When she was 14, Miss Jordan began student teaching Tap and Jazz, and later choreographed her own numbers at Lethbridge Collegiate Institute. She continued to choreograph for LCI throughout her high school career until moving on to choreograph for Chinook High School.

Her love of dance lead her to go to post-secondary for dance. She completed exams in Al Gilbert Tap, ADAPT Jazz, and R.A.D Ballet at; Grade 5, Pre-Intermediate 1, and Grade 2, difficulty levels respectively.

Miss Jordan was also featured in the Lethbridge Musical Theatre productions of both “Big River” and “Hairspray”.
Recently Miss Jordan graduated from ADAPT Teachers Training School in Toronto on July 2017, ultimately earning her ADAPT teaching certification.
